Dehradun. The Chief Minister Shri Trivendra Singh Rawat reviewed the preparation for Haridwar Kumbh Mela – 2021 at the Secretariat on Tuesday. The CM directed the officials to identify the works of permanent nature. He directed to start only those works which can be completed on time. Incomplete work will not be accepted. The CM directed the Haridwar-Roorkee Development Authority to identify places required for Kumbh mela.
The Chief Minister Shri Trivendra also directed to design the LOGO for Kumbh-2021. He instructed to use it in every government activity till the end of Kumbh Mela. He said that crowd management and security arrangements are in the top priorities of the government. The DGP Shri AK Raturi said that more than 20 thousand security personnel will be deployed in Kumbh Mela. Special action plan will also be set up to prevent incidents of fire and stampede.
The Chief Minister will inspect the area of Kumbh Mela. All officers posted in the past will be present on there this occasion. The CM said that it was government’s priority to organize Kumbh Mela successfully. Its preparations should start from now. The CM directed the Commissioner Garhwal to make all arrangements for preparation of Kumbh Mela by taking meetings of all concerned departments, So that all the departments can start the process of arranging their budget and resources in time. The CM expressed displeasure that the proposal of Ring Road for National Highway has not been sent by the Department so far.
It was informed in the meeting that a total of 2200 crore rupees works are being proposed for 2021 Kumbh. In which, 85 percent works are permanent nature.
