CM Rawat felicitated for bringing ordnance on slums
Dehradun.Uttrakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat participated in a function organized by Mussoorie legislator Ganesh Joshi to felicitate him for bring an ordnance by the state government to save the slums held at a local wedding point on Canal road on Wednesday. Chief minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the his government faced a big challenge to save the houses of the poor people living in the slums before providing them alternate houses. More than two lakh poor people were affected and it was a problem that where they will go in the rainy season.
He said that keeping in view the practical problem faced by the slum dwellers, the state government has sought time of three years. In the coming three years, the state government will solve the housing problem facing the slum dwellers. “ We have decided to provide roof to the poor in the next three years and also abide by the law,” he said.
Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister Mr. Narender Modi has resolved to provide house, electricity, gas connection to everyone in the country by 2020 and we have to unitedly support him to fulfill his resolve.
